About the artist

Hello!

My name is Yenny Bernal, I am a Colombiana-born visual mixed media artist, art teacher, and small business owner in the city of Santa Ana.

For the last 15 years of my professional life I have been fully dedicated to planting the art seeds of my love and passion, cultivating the production of Arts and Culture preservation in our city via event planning.

This is why my business was born, first as DTSA DTI Farmers Market Family Booth, then ArtWalk Coordinator, as well as through collaborations with the city of  Santa Ana such as ‘Wings of the City’ Jorge Marin’s educational workshops, their Round table sessions, Investing in the Art Fiesta de Culturas celebrations, to MainPlace Mall yearly Dia de Muertos and Art Walks, and currently as one of Main Place Malls on-site gallery and makerspace owner.

My event business mission focuses on arts education and cultural diversity celebration via activities and performances that enhance our collective knowledge. We base our programing of various cultural roots; thus elevating our understanding and connecting us as a human community at a deeper level.

We want to continue to ignite the desire for art exploration regardless of economic means. I am truly thankful and feel so fortunate to be able to offer our Fiesta de Culturas, MainPlace Art Walks, Dia de Muertos, MyPerks Sip & Paints/Crafts Nights educational activities and performances free of cost to people of all ages who want to join in on our ArtVentures.

We invite you to come check out our events with MainPlace Mall and the City of Santa Ana who fund and promote arts and culture in the city .  I am eternally grateful for their long time support and for trusting me all of this year’s to host some of their events. This sort of economic equity, provided me with the push I needed to open my own business, and thus, live the American Dream we migrants work so hard to achieve.

Galería of Imagination is my small gallery and makerspace located at the MainPlace Mall. She is my my newest manifestation of this dream.  Here we offer our clients low-cost Fine Art and Crafts classes, as well as DIY activities ranging in price from $4-$15 dollars.

Our gallery area hosts tri-monthly rotating creative exhibitions of local artists of all ages and levels. Our shows run through Open Calls, follow our instagram for the next one…  and come visit us and get connected and active with us!
