My name is Yenny Bernal, and I am a mixed media visual artist, art instructor, and founder of Uplifting Soul Art Events. Our mission is to provide arts education and knowledge through cultural art exchanges, creative projects, installations, and live demonstrations, allowing our community to fully immerse themselves in the arts.
I also own Galeria of Imagination at MainPlace Mall, which represents the evolution of my artistic vision. I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about me as you seek high-quality services from local small art businesses for your family’s arts education.
Growing up in Bogotá, Colombia, art was an integral part of my daily routine. From simple crayons and colored pencils to playdough and paints, creativity was my best friend during times of reflection, self-exploration, and intellectual growth.
After spending several years in various corporate roles, I decided in 2012 to dedicate my professional life to inspiring others through art. I became actively involved in the local artist community in Santa Ana’s Artist Village. As my artistic skills grew, I began teaching art in after-school programs, initially in the private sector and later for SAUSD Engage 360, where I worked for six years with OCCTAC. In 2015, I also launched my art events business and have since served the city of Santa Ana through educational booths at Farmers Markets, DTSA ArtWalk coordination, the Wings of the City Project, Community Round Tables, and the Arts and Culture Artist Grant Program during Fiesta de Culturas events. Additionally, I have collaborated with MainPlace Mall for the past ten years, contributing to their Día de los Muertos annual festivals, Art Walks, and MyPerks Sip & Paint nights.
am immensely grateful to all the mentors who encouraged me to joyfully and fearlessly pursue my dreams. I hope to inspire my students, fellow art collaborators, and community members to discover their artistic skills in pursuit of a more expressively fulfilling lifestyle.
